Congratulations to both SCA’s FTC Robotics teams for completing a remarkable season with a strong showing at the Arizona State Championship this past weekend, held at NAU in Flagstaff, AZ.

Our all-girls team, Team 26671- LOVE2, had a great first season, continuing to grow and improve at each match. LOVE2 qualified for State this season, finishing 15th in their division and 26th out of about 100 teams. This season, they also took home the Connect Award at both the Turquoise - Tempe Qualifier and the Ironwood - Glendale Qualifier.

SCA's co-ed team, Team 26670: Noodle Bots, also had an outstanding season! They qualified for State at the Desert Vista - Peoria Qualifier, where they also took home the Innovate Award sponsored by RTX. Then, at the Ironwood - Glendale Qualifier, they were undefeated, winning the entire competition with LOVE2 as their alliance. Noodle Bots concluded their impressive season at State this weekend, finishing 9th overall in their division, then advancing to the playoffs, where their alliance finished in 3rd place. The most exciting moment of this weekend was when the arena erupted in cheers as the Noodle Bots became the first team in the entire State of Arizona to execute a lift mechanism successfully. (See video .ftc) Noodle Bots ended their remarkable season at 7th in the State.

SCA's Varsity season for FRC is just beginning! Upcoming events are the Arizona North Regional at NAU on 3.11.26 - 3.14.26 and the Las Vegas Regional at UNLV on 4.8.26 - 4.11.26. Last night, Scottsdale Christian Academy was awarded the Exemplary Accreditation by ACSI President, Dr. Larry Taylor, in Fort Worth, Texas, at the Flourishing Schools Institute. Only 27 schools have been awarded this worldwide in their history. Three schools including SCA were added this year. Way to go, SCA!

What a joy it was to welcome our local pastors this morning for coffee and our all-school chapel. Thank you for your faithful dedication to our families. The SCA community is deeply grateful for you and will continue to lift you and our churches in prayer throughout this new year.

Larry Hall has a long and meaningful history with SCA, truly a legend within our community. He faithfully served on the Board during pivotal seasons in the school's history and was always a steadfast supporter of SCA and its mission. As a devoted parent and grandparent, his legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of our school, and we are honored that his daughter, Mrs. McClue, serves as our beloved elementary principal.

Larry was, without question, our number one sports fan, faithfully present at nearly every game, cheering on our students with joy and pride. He went home to be with the Lord, and while his name already lives on our Legacy Wall, his impact lives on in countless hearts.

He will be deeply missed, yet we rejoice in the assurance that he is now in the presence of our Lord.

Seventy-two teddy bears are heading to foster kids at to bring joy and comfort. This week, our 1st graders learned the history of teddy bears and ended the lesson with an act of service. They prayed over each bear and are excited to send them out to make many children happy.

We loved seeing all our golfers this morning (and the matching outfits!).

Three State Championships in three different sports in 2025 are something worth celebrating! Today, we honored our champions with an all-school clap-out, cheering on these incredible athletes who have displayed excellence, grit, and a deep love for both God and the game— on the court and on the field. Grandparents Day may pass quickly, but the joy it brings lingers long after. Thank you to our incredible Parent Association for helping make this day extra special with the Festival of Trees and the Bake Sale. We appreciate the love you pour into our school and the countless hours you dedicate to creating meaningful moments like this.

Dear Grandparents, we hope you felt deeply celebrated and enjoyed a wonderful day with your grandchildren-meeting their teachers, experiencing their talents in music and art, and making memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Leading up to Thanksgiving, several events across campus bring our community together. We took a break from the usual routine to enjoy some fun and friendly competition at our Annual Thankskicking event!
Students from all grade levels rallied together and faced off against our faculty and staff. Kudos to this year's champions who claimed the coveted turkey trophy!
