Good Evening North High School Families,
It brings me great sadness writing this message to you this evening. For those of you who do not know, our Assistant Principal, Mr. Ray Pino unexpectedly and tragically passed away on Thursday. As the entire North community mourns the loss of Mr. Pino it is important we continue to make the safety and well-being of our students and staff our highest priority.
We have received word that there are individuals planning a candle-light vigil at North High School tomorrow evening to pay respects to Mr. Pino. At this time, due to the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), we believe it is not safe for large groups of people to come together. In following our state and national guideline that requests no groups larger than 10 congregate at any time, we must make it clear that this gathering is not allowed to take place at North High School.
We all love and miss Mr. Pino and as your principal, I promise we will not let his memory be forgotten. We will honor Mr. Pino as a community when we are all able to come together again. We thank you for the outpouring of support during this incredibly difficult time and hope you will keep Mr. Pino and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
Respectfully,
Vanessa Casillas
Principal
Respetuosamente,
Vanessa Casillas
Directora

SPREAD THE WORD: Hello PXU students and families! We miss you, and have been working hard to get students connected to their teachers in a virtual format. Please login to your district student email and use your normal school password. From there, you can use the graphic below to access TEAMs and start connecting to your teachers, or get connected with your current teacher online platform. REMINDER: We are not asking students to work on any new material, but you can work with teachers to supplement your learning, and catch up on your grades. Teachers will officially start connecting with students on March 31st for supplemental academic work. The district is working on getting students access to devices, as well as working with the State Board of Education to ensure there are new rules for the graduating class of 2020.
