Discover the Magic of Waldorf High School โ Join Our Open House!
Come see what makes our high school experience truly unique! Just last week, our students immersed themselves in Work Week, one of our cherished Waldorf traditions. During this week, students:
Earned their Food Handlersโ Certification and CPR & First Aid training
Explored holistic health with sessions from an Eastern medicine doctor and acupuncturist
Delved into the wonders of science with an evolutionary biologist
Turned over the garden soil and planted seeds for our Spring garden
Beautified the banks of the Rio Salado river in a service learning project
Experienced entrepreneurship firsthand at a local Jiu-Jitsu studio
Guided by the core principles of Public Waldorf education, our high school program is designed for the developmental stage of ages 14โ18. Students are supported as they grow into abstract and analytical thinking, self-awareness, and moral responsibility, preparing them to navigate a complex, ever-changing world.
This is just a glimpse of the hands-on, real-world learning and character-building our students enjoy every day.

Shout out to our history teacher, Mr. Santiago, for bringing the past to life through story and beauty in a way that awakens the human imagination of his students. Walking through his classroom and seeing his chalkboard art is always a delight.
And thank you to one of our wonderfully creative students for their chalk mural of Abe Lincoln. Creativity truly abounds at Desert Marigold High School.
If you know someone who is longing for an education rooted in imagination, creativity, and meaning, feel free to share. Enrollment is currently open, and we still have space.

The festival of Michaelmas is both a joyful community event and a reminder that, as the darker season approaches, we meet it with strength and inner light. Each year on the autumn equinox our entire school community celebrates this day together with dragon bread, games, songs, and the courage to face what comes together and with joy.

In our beautiful farmhouse, all students in grades Kโ12 take part in handwork, which includes knitting, sewing, crocheting, paper art, needle felting, leather working, and more. These practical arts are embraced not only as a form of self-expression but as a way for the brain and body to unite in deeper patterns of sensory integration and bilateral growth. They strengthen neural pathways connected to language, math, spatial reasoning, and problem-solving, while also supporting emotional regulation and connection to oneself. As with much of Waldorf-inspired education, the work lives on multiple levels within the human being, guiding the child as they grow into who they are meant to be.
On our 12-acre campus in Phoenix, Arizona, the year has begun, but the doors are still open. We welcome new students to this unfolding journey of learning, creating, and becoming. Please share this with anyone who might be inspired to join us.
