At Parent Orientation, we talked about going "Beyond STEM", and some new after-school opportunities, but we also provide these kinds of activities in the classroom.
For example, kindergarten made paper when they were learning about the letter P in READING (and read a book about making paper). It connects to BIBLE because they learned about God making people and how he told Adam and Eve to care for the Earth, so in SCIENCE they were learning how practicing stewardship by recycling. It is also is an ART project and required some fine motor skills, which are a WRITING prerequisite. And they had some bonus SERVICE as children made some extra paper to give to their classmates who were absent that day.

Yesterday 3rd-5th grade students worked with snap circuits in the first Luminaries' Beyond STEM meeting.
