🌟 Staff Spotlight 🌟

Meet Ms. McDonald, our 7th grade ELA teacher!

10/08/2026

Ms. McDonald’s class is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with a creative and meaningful project!

Students are learning about Hispanic heritage and culture while creating drawings and writing passages that highlight important people, traditions, and resources. We are proud to see our students express their creativity, share what they have learned.

A Message from Your School Nurse

Dear KRPA Families,

Flu season is right around the corner. Influenza activity typically begins to increase in October, with flu activity often reaching its highest levels during December and the winter months.

As we work together to keep our students and staff healthy, please remember to keep your child home if they are feeling unwell or have a fever. Students should be fever-free for at least 24 hours without the use of fever-reducing medication before returning to school.

Flu Symptoms to Watch For:

Fever or chills
Cough
Sore throat
Runny or stuffy nose
Headache
Body or muscle aches
Fatigue or unusual tiredness
Sometimes vomiting or diarrhea, especially in children.

Help Prevent the Spread of Germs:

Please take a few minutes to remind your student about the importance of:

Washing hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
Using hand sanitizer when soap and water are not available.
Covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue or their elbow.
Avoiding touching their eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
Not sharing drinks, food, or personal items with others.
Staying home when sick and allowing their body time to recover.

Thank you for helping us keep our Husky family healthy, safe, and ready to learn!

Your KRPA School Nurse
