Welcome back new and returning students! Who is ready for the 2018 Fall semester?!

Student Nutrition Council will be holding its first monthly member meeting on August 27th at 5:30 pm.

The Student Nutrition Council (SNC) is a student organization at Arizona State University that advocates nutrition programs, services, and education. The SNC enhances its members by connecting them with career development opportunities, local professionals, and tools for academic success. SNC is welcome to all students who are interested in the field of nutrition and health-related professions.

Here's information regarding scholarship opportunities for nutrition students:

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics Foundation invites you to apply for a 2018 scholarship! In 2017, the Foundation awarded over 230 students with scholarships ranging from $500 to $10,000.

Scholarships are available for students at all levels of study, including those enrolled in undergraduate programs, NDTR programs, dietetic internships, and masters and doctoral programs. The deadline to apply is Monday, April 23.

The Foundation is the largest provider of dietetics scholarships, providing funding to deserving students at all levels of study. Scholarships are funded by individual donors, the Academy’s state and regional dietetic associations, dietetic practice groups, and Foundation partners.

If anyone has time to gather volunteer hours after the Monday meeting, we will be holding a recipe making event to create recipes using produce ingredients provided from the Borderlands Food Drive. It will be super fun and is an easy way to acquire hours!

Hello Everyone!

Just wanted to send a friendly reminder that
our January volunteer even is this Friday! This is a community nutrition focused event taking place at St. Vincent De Paul Watkins Campus (2120 south 3rd drive, phoenix, 85003). We’ll be volunteering in the pizza kitchen!

The event is this Friday the 26th from 12:30-3:30pm

The check ID number is 178541 and if the check in machine says already says checked in to just let the receptionist know you’re there with SNC for pizza kitchen and they will tell you where to go!

Parking is gated-Turn left at first the black gate and wait for it to open park anywhere behind the first building.

Hello everyone! We’re so excited to to kick this semester off with our first round of meetings 2018 edition 😎 Your officer board is estatic to welcome returning and new members alike. Bring your friends! The more the merrier!

Our first meeting of the semester is this Monday (January 29th) on the Downtown Campus from 5-6pm in Health North 110 and in Tempe on Wednesday (January 31st) from 5-6pm in BA L1-21.

Our guest speaker this month is Anastacia Fellows RD, CDE from the Arizona Endocrinology Center. She will be speaking to us about diabetes.

Remember that you must attend at least two meetings IN THE SAME SEMESTER ( and not in the same week) in order to earn official membership to SNC and your rad t-shirt.

Dairy Farm Tour- NTR445

I have organized for my NTR445 students to attend a dairy farm tour next Monday, Nov 21st from 11:30-2pm. Dairy Council of AZ has sponsored a chartered bus to take us to/from the dairy farm in the west valley. I currently have 19 seats open for the tour and need to make sure I fill all the seats so the event does not get canceled.
