🌟 Classroom Highlights! 🌟
Our students have been busy exploring, learning, and building new skills across campus!
📚 Our High School Social Studies class studied different religions and cultures around the world, expanding their understanding of global perspectives.
🌧️ Our preschool students enjoyed calendar time and a fun review of rainy days on campus.
📖 In the 3rd–5th grade classroom, students participated in a read-aloud and Q&A discussion, exploring what Arizona is famous for — including the amazing Grand Canyon!
➕ Students also received individualized math support with opportunities for one-on-one instruction and additional staff support to strengthen their learning.
We are proud of the curiosity, growth, and engagement happening in our classrooms every day! 💙

Last week, PDSD welcomed Keene Shank, a Deaf actor, model, content creator, and presenter from Maryland, for a day of activities celebrating Deaf Awareness Week!

Keene connected with students of all ages through conversations and activities focused on Deaf identity, creativity, accessibility, and advocacy. Students explored everything from creating their own Deaf superheroes and self-portraits to imagining a more accessible future and discussing real-world advocacy.

Roadrunners!

This week is a busy one for our high school girls volleyball team, with THREE away games that are truly away. Yesterday, the team traveled to Winterhaven, CA to face San Pasqual Valley High School once again. While we came back with a loss, the girls are certainly improving in working together and we remain determined to bring home a W!

After FLASH with our 5th graders, today’s lesson focused on Friendship and Decision-Making—and our students showed us what true school spirit looks like!
They chose to walk back hand in hand, looking out for one another and reminding us that strength comes in many forms. 💪✨ Being strong means being kind, supporting your friends, and making positive choices together.

From science experiments and math practice to building technology skills, our Roadrunners are always learning something new!

High school students got hands-on in the science lab.

Middle school students put their math skills to work.

Elementary students practiced typing and technology during Specials.

Different classrooms, different lessons, and lots of learning happening across campus! We love getting to capture these everyday moments of our Roadrunners in action.

Our PDSD High School Girls Volleyball team took on North Phoenix Prep last Friday in a tough but exciting matchup! While the Roadrunners didn’t come away with the win, the team continues to show great improvement, determination, and resilience on the court.

Thank you to everyone who came out to cheer on our student-athletes! We hope to see you back in the stands for our next home game tomorrow!

A little Color Magic in science class!

Our students recently put their science skills to work with a fun “Color Magic” experiment! Students explored what happens when different colors are mixed together, observed the changes, discussed their discoveries, and recorded what they learned.

We love seeing our students’ curiosity and excitement come to life through hands-on learning!
