In case you didn’t get this email:

Dear (Student):

The National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) national headquarters has recently learned that due to the recent and unfortunate events Argosy University will no longer have an NSCS chapter. While we regret that Argosy University is no longer in business and therefore NSCS will no longer have a presence, we appreciate the opportunity afforded to us by the campus administration to have built a community based on our pillars of scholarship, leadership, and service. The good news is that you will still keep your NSCS membership and become part of our National Chapter and national community of scholars.

What does this mean?

•You are still eligible to apply for scholarships (https://talknerdy2me.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=545ed50e240ed3de2e2991717&id=2361853f8f&e=09a6ec526b) and receive the same member benefits (https://talknerdy2me.us2.list-manage.com/track/click?u=545ed50e240ed3de2e2991717&id=273295a273&e=09a6ec526b).

•If you are planning to transfer to another institution, chances are good that an NSCS chapter exists at the school, allowing you to automatically become a member of that local chapter (you’ll need to let us know which school and when you’re transferring) and provide you with an immediate network of other scholars and benefits including chapter activities and events.

Should you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out to us directly at [email protected].

Wishing you nothing but the best during this challenging time.

Steve

Hi guys!

I have received SO MANY messages and am eager to get back to every single one. Please forgive me for the delay. I’ll do my best to answer any questions you have about NSCS.

In the meantime, which schools are you looking into? Have you had any luck contacting the DOE?

Share your tips below! - Kris

Hello all,

I'm sure many of you have heard about Argosy's current situation and while I - like several of you - am upset with this news, the best thing we can do at this point is hope for the best and continue working toward our goal(s).

We will not know the final decision until tomorrow, but in the meantime, I'd like to take some time to clarify a few things about your membership to the National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

- Once you are inducted into NSCS you are a member for life
- Should Argosy close, your membership will be will be transferred to the National Chapter or transferred to any school you plan to attend in the future that has an NSCS chapter
- I plan on keeping this page active until the National office tells me otherwise with the goal of keeping you informed of anything NSCS-related in the coming days, weeks, months, etc. Should you join a new school and they have an NSCS chapter there, make sure to follow them on social media as well
- Lastly, if you were one of the few I contacted recently about NSCS merch, you will still get your items. The store is down until March 15, but I am going to see if I can place an order directly through the national office so we can get those to you immediately

Should you have any questions, feel free to reply to this message or send me an email at [email protected] or [email protected]. If I do not reply immediately, I promise I will get back to you within 24-48 hours.

Thanks for reading,

Kristina Hernandez, Chapter President
