DVUSD Parents and Guardians,
Last night's storms caused damage to the district's IT System (phones, internet, district website, email, PowerSchools,etc.) at all of our campuses.

Crews have been working through the night to repair these systems. At this time, we are not able to email or make/receive phone calls.

Schools are open today, but we want you to be aware these systems are not working.

Dear Constitution Families and Community Partners,

It has truly been an honor to serve as principal of Constitution Elementary for the past seven years. Our TEAM has grown academically, we formed amazing relationships, and we have persevered alongside each other as students, staff, parents, and community partners. We have created a culture of high expectations and learning that is known throughout the Deer Valley School District. I am so proud of the hard work and determination of our students and staff to ensure high levels of learning for all students. We modeled our mission of TEAM, by ensuring “Together Everyone Achieves Mastery” and doing everything in our power to make that a reality, alongside our incredible families who have supported us. Due to this work, we have been fortunate to receive many awards during my tenure, such as:

 A+ School of Excellence
 Title One Exemplary Program
 Principal of the Year

Thank you for embracing me as a leader and I am so grateful you have entrusted your students in my care. Constitution has been my home and I will never forget all of the experiences we have shared along the way. It is with a heavy heart that I am announcing my resignation as Principal of Constitution Elementary at the end of this year. My husband’s company is headquartered in Texas and we will be moving there in October.

Saying goodbye is never easy; However, I am confident the shared mission and vision we have established here at Constitution will continue on with the new principal, Joan Wick.

I look forward to hearing about your students’ achievements and I will be following your journey through communication with the teachers and hopefully hearing from my students. If your student would like to write me a letter they can give it to the
office and the office will mail it to me.

Again, I am so grateful for my time here and I will never forget my TEAM.

DVUSD is partnering with Maricopa County Public Health to bring drive-thru testing to our community next week. Testing will take place at Barry Goldwater High School on Jan 11,12 & 13 from 12 - 5 p.m. For more information, visit: https://www.dvusd.org/covidtesting

DVUSD has partnered up with Maricopa County to provide a location to host a drive-through COVID-19 testing site. On January 4 and 11 the community can get tested for COVID-19 at Barry Goldwater High School in the student parking lot from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. Health Screening Services will be administering the tests and they require you to pre-register to get tested. We are thankful for all of our students and staff! All DVUSD schools will be closed from Monday, Nov. 23 - Nov. 27 for Fall Recess. School will resume on Monday, Nov. 30.
