He has greatly blessed ALA as one of our literature teachers, teaching Freshman and Senior English as well as AP English. He's also part of our Domestic Housing team, Varsity girls basketball head coach, a new dad, and coaching in the 2A State championship game tomorrow!

Our Coyotes finished their season in a one-point loss in the State semifinals tonight.

Watching a season end is tough, but what a thrill it's been to watch these guys play.

They finished 2nd in the Region and in the 2A final four.

Coach Meyer shared, "the team operates with the theme 'Iron Sharpens Iron as one person sharpens another.' Our core values are Love-Work-Believe.

This group entered the year with many unknowns after losing most of our offense and great seniors from last year. Some key players improved their play and showed terrific maturity. Most of all, this group plays hard FOR each other and has committed to being great teammates. This is one of the best defensive teams we have ever had due to commitment and hard work.

Our first Character Quality of the year was "Tenacious." That describes how we have played, how we have supported each other, and how we handled adversity."

We thank our seniors, coaching staff, and the awesome Coyote Nation. Join us to congratulate the team on a stellar season. 👏

You may have noticed Brenan's crutches in his wrestling State podium photo. Brenan ( ) severely injured his knee during his last State wrestling match for 3rd and had to medically forfeit the match.

Present in the arena at the AIA State Tournament was Anthony Robles. He is a local wrestling "celebrity" who won an NCAA championship for ASU… on one leg. (Anthony was born without a leg. Amazon Prime recently released a movie about his life starring Jennifer Lopez as his mom.) Anthony and Brenan were near each other, and the Coyote wrestling family managed to introduce the two of them.

To ALL of our athletes who are battling injury: We're praying that God will lift your chin, carry you through the disappointments, bring full recovery, and help you grow during this season. 💛
