SEL Champion Social Emotional Learning is More than Just a Checkin

Brandon Witcher is an educator, writer, consultant, and social emotional learning expert with over fifteen years experience in urban education. He has taught all grade levels and continues to be a staunch advocate of social emotional learning and project based learning; particularly for its benefits for young people who are traditionally underserved. He has coached and consulted in schools all over America and has presented workshops and served as a panelist discussing topics such as teaching young men of color, advisory practices, project based learning, and integrating social emotional learning. He holds a Bachelor's degree from The Lincoln University in English and a Master's of Education from Wilmington University. He enjoys eating at vegan restaurants, singing at the top of mountains after a good hike, and advocating for educational change for young people.
