We sing “We Wish You Well” when students are absent or move during the year 💛 As our school year comes to a close, it felt like the perfect song to sing one more time.
This season brings so many mixed emotions — excitement for summer ☀️, pride in how much we’ve grown 🌟, and a little sadness saying goodbye 💕
Wishing all our students and families a safe, happy summer! We truly wish you well 🎶
Play Love Repeat
Teacher. Outdoor educator. Play-based. Unconditional love. Children are ready to learn when their social-emotional needs are met first. Ages 2-6
Then, learning can be approached through play to support kids' natural instinct to process emotions and learn about the world.
🌿🐍🦎 Our kindergarteners spent the last month learning about the amazing animals at the Phoenix Herpetological Sanctuary and how we can help protect animals and their habitats 🌎💚
Students 📚 read books about reptiles and animals, 🎨 created animal and habitat models, ✏️ wrote about sanctuary animals, and 📖 made books to teach others what they learned! 🐢🦎🐍
We are so proud of their creativity, curiosity, and hard work! ✨💚🌿
🪵🐦 Woodpecker Exploration Day!
Today our kinders explored how woodpeckers make holes—not to destroy, but to find food and create homes 🐛🏡
Using simple materials, we created and discovered:
📦 Cardboard boxes
⛳ Golf tees
🔨 Wooden mallets
We tapped and made patterned sounds just like woodpeckers and compared our rhythms 🎶🪶
We also observed real wood with woodpecker holes from Prescott and made connections to our own work 🌲👀
So many smiles, curiosity, and “WOW!” moments with such simple materials 💛✨

🕸️🌵 Nature detectives at work!
Our kinders noticed something amazing—delicate spider webs stretched across our cacti! We paused, looked closely, and shared what we noticed, wondered, and what it reminded us of.
Some friends saw patterns, others spotted tiny spiders hard at work, and a few wondered how the spiders didn’t get hurt by the cactus spikes! 🧐
Moments like these remind us that learning is everywhere—especially outdoors. 🌞🍃

Our 🏫 school recently had a 🦸♀️ 🦸♂️ 🦸 superhero day.
We ✉️ invited our 🔨 🖼️ Makerspace students’ to create their own 🦸♀️ 🦸♂️ 🦸 superheros’ by organizing their 💭 thoughts in an info graphic.
This required creativity, brainstorming, organizing their 💡 ideas, and 🧠 thinking of how to represent ideas in 🖼️ picture form.
I love 💕 that each 💭 info graphic represents each child’s unique 🤓 perspective of the 🌍 world.
