Be sure to tune in to the Tournament of Roses Parade on New Year's Day to see Pipes on Parade: The Massed Pipes and Drums, the largest massed band in this parade's history! Members of the Mesa Caledonian Pipe Band (a Desert Branch member band) will be performing. Are there any others from other Branch bands playing?

Tucson Celtic Festival and Scottish Highland Games Piping and Drumming Contest in Tucson, AZ USA. Dates: 11/4/2023 - 11/5/2023.

The Desert Branch Annual General Meeting will be held the weekend of November 4-5, during the Tucson Celtic Festival. If you can't be there in person, we can set up a Zoom.

This year the roles of President and Treasurer are up for election, as well as at-large roles from each band. Our current Treasurer will not be running again, so we're asking the membership to please consider stepping up for it. If you are interested in running for President, Treasurer, or an at-large position, please let Sandy Voris (branch Secretary) know, or comment on this post.

The branch executive committee plans the Game of Drones workshop, the branch AGM, and will meet upon occasion to discuss items of importance to WUSPBA. The commitment time is fairly low. The President does attend WUSPBA Executive Committee meetings and vote on matters concerning the Associationas a whole. The meetings (monthly) are held via zoom, and the votes are held either on those meetings or via email.
