APRIL 30th

DON’T BE SLOTHFUL (LAZY)

“Go to the ant, you sluggard (habitually lazy person);
consider its ways and be WISE!
It has no commander,
no overseer or ruler,
yet it stores ( accumulates) it’s provisions (goods) in summer
and gathers its food at harvest.
How long will you lie (not move) there, you sluggard?
When will you get up from your sleep?
A little sleep, a little slumber,
a little folding of the hands to rest—
and POVERTY (extremely poor) will come on you like a thief
and SCARCITY (limited resources) like an armed man. Proverbs 6:6-11 (NKJV)

This is a SAD state to be in for anybody to be called a SLUGGARD. A sluggard is a “lazy person” whom will not WORK, but will depend on OTHERS for their well-being. Or, they’ll work at a job for 1 to 3 months and then QUIT, making EXCUSE after excuse why they left their job. They rarely contribute anything to the household, but many times are the FIRST, one to eat. You simply cannot depend on them for anything.

Sadly, in today’s society you observe many able body people whom REFUSE to work and provide for their families, and this is a big reason many families FUNCTION (live) in poverty. The Bible says that if a man WILL NOT work, then he should not EAT (2 Thessalonians 3:6-12). Therefore, if our FATHER (Yah) states an idle (lazy) person should not eat, then if there’s one whom won’t provide for his own basic needs or his family, then neither should anyone provide anything to him. Everyone in some sense should WORK, which is REWARDED with pay, which also promotes self-esteem and worth to a person.

YAH SEES ALL: SATAN IS BAITING YOU

“For the ways of man are before the eyes of the Lord,
And He ponders all his paths.
His own iniquities (sins) entrap the wicked man,
And he is caught in the cords of his sin.
He shall die for lack of instruction,
And in the greatness of his folly he shall go astray.”
Proverbs 5:21-23 (NKJV)

We must understand one thing. You are NEVER alone. Where ever you go, and every thought you conceive, Yah is there. When we go about planning mischief, then actually performing (doing) it. Yah knows about it. When we lie about something and think we’ve pulled it over someone, and got away with it, Yah watched it. We may think just because nothing hasn’t happen yet, that we’re in the CLEAR, that’s just an FALSE since of security, cause when we yield ourselves to SIN, you can best believe the ENEMY (Satan) will make sure your sin is EXPOSED (brought out in the open). It is always best to follow the guidance of our Father (Yah), for when we don’t, we open ourselves to much unnecessary MISERY (calamity). Be Blessed 🙏🏾🕊️

GIVE ATTENTION: ISSUES OF LIFE

“My son, give attention to my words;
Incline your ear to my sayings.
Do not let them depart from your eyes;
Keep them in the midst of your heart;
For they are life to those who find them,
And health to all their flesh.
Keep your heart with all diligence,
For out of it spring the issues of life.”
Proverbs 4:20-23 (NKJV)

The WORDS of the Lord that are written in the Bible are our GUIDE POST while living here in this world. It encompass and addresses everything that you’ll need in this life, and prepares you to RECEIVE everything in the NEXT life (eternity) when you will see your CREATOR (Yah Almighty) face-to-face. Defining the 5 LETTERS of the word BIBLE:

B - Basic

I- Instructions

B- Before

L - Leaving

E- Earth

It is up to us to decipher and follow the detailed yet simplified MAP, that our Heavenly Father, laid out for us to have an fulfilling life HERE (on earth), so that we will be able to experience the life EVERLASTING there (in heaven/1 Corinthians 2:9) that He PROMISED to those that love Him. APRIL 27th

WISDOM (GODLY) WILL KEEP YOUR LIFE

“Hear, my son, and receive my sayings,
And the years of your life will be many.
I have taught you in the way of wisdom;
I have led you in right paths.
When you walk, your steps will not be hindered (restricted)
And when you run, you will not stumble (fall),
Take firm hold of instruction, do not let go;
Keep (retain) her, for she is your life.”
Proverbs 4:10-13 (NKJV)

Instruction: a direction or order. detailed information telling how something should be done.
When wise COUNSEL is given to us, it is for our overall good and betterment. It is to shield and protect, promote, lift up, to sustain and extend. When we follow wise INSTRUCTION, (an element of wisdom), we avoid the pitfalls (mistakes, some costly), that others fall prey too. Yah’s instruction is your very LIFE!

Sometimes, by not heeding (obeying) simple instructions given will cost you your life (Genesis 19:15-26) as it did here, in the just given scriptures concerning Lot’s wife. Are we willing to TEST our very life’s, by doing it our way? A heavy PRICE to pay for not listening and following the instructions of the Most High Yah (our Father).

WISDOM & UNDERSTANDING

“Get wisdom! Get understanding!
Do not forget, nor turn away from the words of my mouth.
Do not forsake her, and she will preserve you;
Love her, and she will keep you.
Wisdom is the principal thing;
Therefore get wisdom.
And in all your getting, get understanding.
Exalt her, and she will promote you;
She will bring you honor, when you embrace her.” - Proverbs 4:5-8 (NKJV)

Get: to SEEK out and OBTAIN. Yah through the writer (author) here, is placing great EMPHASIS on getting wisdom and understanding. Yah knows that if you pursue this principal, and abide in it (wisdom, then understanding) that it will lead you on the pathway to a strong foundation. It will preserve (never lack) you, keep (secure) you, promote (at work, business) you, and bring honor to you, when your name is spoken of.
Embracing WISDOM allows the GRACE of Yah to flow to and through you. Be Blessed. 🙏🏾🕊️

FREELY GIVEN, FREELY GIVE

“Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due,
When it is in the power of your hand to do so.
Do not say to your neighbor,
“Go, and come back,
And tomorrow I will give it,”
When you have it (already) with you.”
Proverbs 3:27-28 (NKJV)

We in the “Household of Faith” should always be in the spirit of GIVING and looking for an opportunity to help someone in need. We were born into the kingdom of Yah to do “GOOD WORKS” (Ephesians 2:10/ 1 Timothy 6:18). It is a by product of whom we are in Christ (part of our inheritance).

As Jesus (our example) went about “doing good (works/Acts 10:48), being a servant, yet still Lord, we should always help out, and not hoard up just for ourselves, and our family. It truly is an BLESSING to be able to give and do it cheerfully.

APRIL 24th

WISDOM & DISCRETION

“Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
So they will be life to your soul
And GRACE to your neck.
Then you will walk SAFELY in your way,
And your foot will not stumble.
When you lie down (sleep) you will not be afraid;
Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet (restful),
Do not be afraid (fearful) of sudden (unknown) terror,
Nor of trouble from the wicked when it comes;
For the Lord will be your confidence (assurance, security),
And will keep your foot from being caught.”
Proverbs 3:21b -26 (NKJV)

A life lived with wisdom allows the GRACE (unmerited favor) and love of Yah to flow into your life. You carefully in confidence PLAN your steps (actions, words) in everything you do. You’re never in a hurry, because you’ve learned not too. Also, you have a peace and tranquility about you that regardless of the circumstances you may find yourself, you are believing and trusting Yah (your Father), for a positive outcome (Romans 8:28).

You don’t allow the current conditions of the world steal your joy, or peace. You’re able to sleep (above verse 24) at night, like a baby (peaceful), without a single CARE in the world.

WISDOM...TREE OF LIFE

“Happy is the man who finds wisdom,
And the man who gains understanding;
For her proceeds are better than the profits of silver,
And her gain than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies,
And all the things you may desire cannot compare with her.
Length of days is in her right hand,
In her left hand riches and honor.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her paths are peace.
She is a “TREE OF LIFE” to those who take hold of her,
And happy are all who RETAIN her (wisdom).”
Proverbs 3:13-18 (NKJV)

WISDOM - the application of experience, knowledge, the quality of having experience, knowledge, and good judgment; body of knowledge and principles; soundness of an action and decision. This is the definition of wisdom.

Attaining WISDOM from Yah (the FATHER) should be one of the most sought after attributes. Wisdom, as verse after verse explains encompasses EVERYTHING that will pertain to your LIFE while living on this earth. It is an INSIGHT (inward witness, knowing) of something, by experience. Wisdom comes by living and experiencing life over a period of TIME. When it grows to GODLY WISDOM, though it is a total “YIELDING” of one’s SELF, and absorbing all that is gain from the FATHER (Yah) through knowledge and understanding. It is BUILT (foundation) on RELATIONSHIP (1 John 2:20). Be Blessed. 🙏🏾🕊️

APRIL 22nd

ACKNOWLEDGE GOD IN EVERYTHING

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge (first) Him,
And He shall (will) direct your paths.
Do not be wise in your OWN eyes;
Fear the Lord and depart from evil.
It will be HEALTH to your flesh,
And STRENGTH to your bones.”
Proverbs 3:5-8 (NKJV)

This very familiar passage of scripture (verses 1 & 2), was my Father’s FAVORITE scriptures in the Bible. He’s gone on to GLORY (Heaven), but it was so significant in our family, that even my children (his grand-children, my wife, his nieces & nephews) remember him quoting these scriptures often, even though he’s been gone almost a decade.

Leaning totally on the DIRECTION of the FATHER (Yah) and not our OWN (which can be selfish & self-motivated) understanding, is the key in everything we do. Before making any DECISION, taking it FIRST to Yah, and getting the OK (move forward) from Him, will save you from unnecessary heartache, disappointment, embarrassment, and grief. Also, doing GOOD, allowing the “FRUITS of the spirit” to radiate out from within you towards others will also promote health and wellbeing to you and strengthen you in your daily walk in SERVICE to the King (Jesus). MERCY & TRUTH

“My son, do not forget my law,
But let your heart keep my commands;
For LENGTH of days and LONG LIFE
and PEACE they will add to you.
Let not MERCY and TRUTH forsake you;
Bind them around your neck,
Write them on the tablet of your heart,
And so find FAVOR and high esteem
In the SIGHT of Yah and man.”
Proverbs 3:1-4 (NKJV)

When you decipher and break down these 4 POWERFUL verses of scripture, the focus here is on the PROMISES from our FATHER (Yah) we will receive simply by being OBEDIENT. Living a fulfilling long life, abiding in peace, giving mercy to those whom others do not, yet standing for the truth (what’s right) in all situations. Most important, acquiring the favor of Yah (our Father), when we PLEASE Him, He will give you favor with man (Proverbs 16:7) in all of your doings.Be Blessed. 🙏🏾🕊️

CANDLE OF THE LORD

“The spirit of man is the candle (light) of the Lord, searching all the inward parts of the belly (heart).” Proverbs 20:27 (KJV)

Now your spirit is a “NEW CREATION” in Christ Jesus and old things have pass away, all things are new. Your recreated spirit now has the NATURE and LIFE of Yah (our FATHER). The HOLY SPIRIT will speak to your spirit and enlighten and lead you to all TRUTH. Through your “inner man” (spirit) is the only way Yahweh will COMMUNICATE to you, for Yah is SPIRIT (John 4:24). WISDOM MORE PRECIOUS THAN GOLD

“When wisdom enters your heart,
And knowledge is pleasant to your soul,
Discretion will preserve you;
Understanding will keep you,
To deliver you from the way of evil,
From the man who speaks perverse things,
From those who leave the paths of uprightness
To walk in the ways of darkness;
Who rejoice in doing evil,
And delight in the perversity of the wicked;
Whose ways are crooked,
And who are devious in their paths;”
Proverbs 2:10-15 (NKJV)

Walking in WISDOM will prevent you from falling prey (victim) to anything. You won’t make haste decisions, neither will you even listen to people whom speak foolishness or are cunning in their approach. The type of people whom are deceitful and are delighted when misfortune befalls others. Whom, cause strife in whatever activities they are involved in. While others may follow and go the way that leads to their demise, you are planted firm, unwavering, and you do not allow what others are doing dictate your daily living. You are secure in who you are, and know that your FATHER (Yah Almighty) has your back in whatever you do. Be Blessed 🙏🏾🕊️
