SlaveVoyages.com is one of the most widely used scholarly resources on the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

I guess I’m not the only one questioning the Transatlantic Slave Trade His-Story. ⛓🚢. I like to hear it from the horse's mouth.

In this video, Dr. David Eltis of SlaveVoyages.com says:

“Black Americans did not come from Africa. They came because of population growth.”

He also says that when you look at the 1870s Census, you will find hardly any Africans. What you will find are native “African” Americans.

That statement caught my attention because these are the same kinds of questions I began asking during my own research.

I believe the Transatlantic Slave Trade happened. I question whether it happened the way we have been taught.

It was questions like these that led me to examine historical records, census records, genealogy, and newspaper archives more closely.

That journey is what eventually led me to shed the “African” label.🪶🪶🪶👆👆👆

I guess I'm not the only one questioning the history of the Transatlantic Slave Trade.

The young man in this video says he migrated to the United States when he was seven years old. Listening to his perspective reminded me of many of the same questions I began asking during my own research.

I believe the Transatlantic Slave Trade happened. What I question is whether the history we are taught tells the whole story.

Those questions led me to examine historical records, genealogy, and newspaper archives more closely. That journey is ultimately what led me to stop accepting the "African" label.

In 1852 they already knew the difference.

The victims of the American slave trade were described in this article as — and I quote — "not savage Africans... but native Americans."

The people being enslaved in America were identified as NATIVE AMERICANS. Not Africans. People born here. In this climate. On this land. With civilization, knowledge, churches and community already established.

The article goes further — describing many of them as having "Anglo Saxon lineage" with "the proudest and hottest blood of the cavaliers coursing in their veins."

These were not people fresh off a boat from Africa.

These were people already HERE.

This is not a theory. This is not speculation. This is an 1852 newspaper documenting what they already knew — that the people being enslaved in America were NATIVE to this land.
We Ain't African.

We never were.

I agree with this sister. We are picking their lies apart about our American history, and ain't a damn thing they can do about it.

They teased us for so long by saying "If you want to hide anything from Black people, put it in a book!" We are not only reading now, we are dissecting HIS STORY like a frog in a science laboratory., and they can't do a damn thing about it.

Walking around calling ourselves 2 continents never made sense to me. This label tells the world that every last native Black American is from Africa. They ignore the testimonies of early explorers who said we were already here.
