Thunder families don't forget about curriculum night tonight, it begins at 6:30 PM but there will be presentations for senior families and for underclassmen families beginning at 5:45! Students are on an early release schedule today and will be released at 2:23 PM.


Thunder! We will be having club rush next Tuesday and Thursday during both lunch periods in the courtyard! Come on out to visit with our clubs and explore your interests, we hope to see you there!

As resource distribution approaches, we wanted to inform you of our Laptop Protection Plan (LPP), which helps alleviate the costs of repairs/ damage should anything happen. Congratulations to rising junior & stellar student Annabella Delgado on being selected to participate in the National Microsoft Office Specialist Competition in Orlando, Florida! Annabella completed and is certified in the Business Technology Applications CTE program. She is also a member of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) and will be the social media officer next year. Way to go, Annabella!


Incoming freshmen & new students, be sure to attend our open house the night before classes begin! Come out and walk the campus, find your classes & handle any last minute business. We can't wait to have you here!

Since opening its doors in 1995, Desert Vista High School has been inspiring, “Excellence through Performance.”

An A-rated High School by the Arizona Department of Education, Desert Vista provides a wide array of academic and educationally rich opportunities on our campus to ensure our students are college and career ready. We offer a variety of academic options for all grade levels, including Advanced Placement (AP) courses, honors courses, vocational courses, and dual enrollment courses through the Maricopa County Community Colleges and the University of Arizona.

We continually examine our curriculum, monitor student progress through the use of formative assessments, and strive to collaborate with one another to improve instruction to meet the differentiated needs of our students.
