Cordova Elementary School

Today, we were incredibly proud to see one of our student leaders represent our school on a district student panel alongside students from across the Alhambra Elementary School District. Students shared their voices and perspectives with parents and staff working together to bring a districtwide vision to life during the event, “Building Literacy Coherence: Defining the Student Experience in AESD.”

Alongside students, families, staff, community members, and partners from TNTP, the next phase of the district’s Literacy Plan was unveiled by sharing feedback gathered through Literacy Visioning sessions. Together, participants reviewed community input, made final refinements, and continued preparing for implementation in the upcoming school year.

She represented our school with confidence, thoughtfulness, and outstanding leadership. We are so proud of her voice, her ideas, and her commitment to learning. 💚📚👏

🌵🐍 Mrs. Brennan’s Third Grade Passion Projects 🐢🌼

After a month-long unit on desert plants and animals, Mrs. Brennan’s third graders wrapped up their learning with passion projects! Students chose how they wanted to demonstrate their knowledge—through models, posters, writing, and more—and the creativity was amazing.

We are so proud of their hard work, curiosity, and confidence in sharing what they learned! 🌟📚

🌱 From the Garden to Home! 🌱

Last week, our second graders harvested fresh produce straight from the garden! They worked hard, learned a lot, and were so excited to take their harvest home to share with their families. We love seeing hands-on learning in action! 🥕🍅🌿
