It's FAFSA Friday! Let's debunk some myths with Dr. Laura Maloney, Executive Director of Academics at ASU Prep Digital 🔱

Today, we're answering the question, "Do you need to fill out your taxes before completing the FAFSA?" The answer is NO ❌ The FAFSA allows you to use your previous year’s tax information, so you can get started right away using what's called “prior-prior year” tax data. This data can also be imported through the form's IRS Data Retrieval Form, making the form-filling process faster! 🏎️

Happy FAFSA Friday! ❓TRUE/FALSE: FAFSA pulls your credit/hurts your score? FALSE!

Submitting the FAFSA does not pull your credit or hurt your credit score. It does not "ding" your credit score in any way. But filling it out opens the pool of possibilities for our students, and that is a big win! Now that the FAFSA app is open, please fill complete it over the weekend and let us know how long it took you!
