Our owner and founder, Wilmarie, will be studying to get her K-5 Literacy endorsement along with educators across Arizona as we move the dial in our 2030 literacy goals.

Almost 20 years ago this is where my experience in education began. In North Philadelphia, at Temple University, at Duckrey Elementary school. 🍒⚪️ At the time, I was a highschool student who’d had attended Philly public schools and who’d just been accepted into the Pennsylvania Governors School for Urban Teaching. I ended up attending Temple University and graduating with my Bachelor of Science degree in Human Development and Community Engagement. I am thankful for where my road in education began and where it is going! Temple University College of Education and Human Development

As schools are starting ☀️ vacation, please remember to keep your kids reading daily to avoid the summer slide 📚🛝 (summer learning loss). Even 20-30 minutes a day, and adding 5 min every week or so to build stamina (depending on age)💪🏽. We can love our kids enough to be the parent or caregiver who ensures they are spending their brain power on good learning and not just overstimulation from screens and technology.
