2 years ago, Childsplay shared a play reading of a show in development called No Going Back with NVAA Shea Theatre students. Today, Deborah K. Stevens and Dwayne Hartley, the playwright and Artistic Director of Childsplay, shared a workshop and the performance in full!

NVAA Students at Shea Middle School recently participated in the 5th Annual Shea Shorts!
The interdisciplinary festival featured short performances and original works by NVAA Dance, Music Technology, Theatre and Visual Arts students. These young artists are amazingly talented and we are so proud of them as they continue to explore, create and shine as NVAA students!

Huge shout-out to our Matador finalists at the ASU/Gammage High School Musical Theatre Awards! These awards celebrate the best musical theatre in the state and are run by the Broadway League, which also manages the Tony Awards.
The finalists from this year’s production of Chicago are Celia Kass and Ben Trujilo for Best Lead Actor, and Sarah Levey for the ASU Leadership Award.

Our DCES NVAA Art students have been hard at work transforming their classroom into a breathtaking, immersive “Under the Sea” experience. The District Sights and Sounds of PVSchools event at Shadow Mountain High School was a wonderful success, with incredible artwork and performances from students across the district.
Our NVAA visual artists represented our program beautifully and brought home six district awards for their outstanding work.
Thank you to the talented artists who had work on display, the face painters who added to the fun, and our NVAA Boosters for helping make the day such a great celebration of the arts!
