Big cheers for Samantha Anderson, a 5th grader at Whispering Wind Academy, who, out of more than 700 participants across 33 states, secured an Honorable Mention in the 5th National Mandarin Chinese Speech Contest. 🙌 As one of just 13 national finalists in the Grade 3–5 category, Samantha distinguished herself as the sole representative from Arizona and the only public school student to reach the final stage. To encourage student creativity and highlight the importance of digital responsibility, the Fine Arts and Information Technology departments have introduced the Cyber Smart Art Contest. This initiative, open to all grade levels, asks participants in Paradise to design original pieces centered on positive digital citizenship. The deadline for submissions is May 19, 2026.
