What happens when one of our students’ favorite authors comes to All Saints’? Everyone wins! 📚🐯

Lower school students were thrilled to welcome Jerry Pallotta 🦞, author of the wildly popular Scholastic “Who Would Win?”series, to campus this morning! His books have long been favorites in the Lenhardt Library, so students were especially excited to meet the person behind the matchups they love.
Mr. Pallotta brought the creative process to life, sharing what inspires his writing and how an idea becomes a finished book through presentations filled with fascinating facts, big laughs, and plenty of enthusiastic participation.

A special Tiger thank you to our eighth-grade Storytelling students for serving as wonderful hosts and to Ms. Isaacson for opening the Lenhardt Library to our students and coordinating this memorable day. And, of course, thank you to Mr. Pallotta for inspiring our young readers and writers!

At All Saints’, we strive to create an academic, social, and spiritual environment where everyone learns, works, and plays together with respect, responsibility, and understanding. This shared commitment is The All Saints’ Way. 💙

Today in Chapel, we continued the long-standing tradition of commissioning our Board of Trustees. As part of the commissioning, our student leaders and Trustees were the first to sign The All Saints’ Way, pledging to uphold the values that guide how we learn, work, and play together.

In the days ahead, every class and each member of our faculty and staff will add their names, affirming our shared responsibility to care for one another and strengthen our community. 🐯

🌈 Our fifth-grade students stepped outside the classroom this week to find beauty in creation. In religion class with Mr. Williams, students read the Genesis 1 creation poem and held up colored paper for each day (green for plants, blue for the ocean), then walked through Shaver Learning Commons and the Memorial Garden, looking for beauty in the world around them. Back in the classroom, they drew whatever struck them as most beautiful, a reminder that everything is good, we all belong, and we’re connected to the planet we call home. 💙

The future looks bright in fourth grade! 😎✨

As the leaders of the Lower School, our fourth-grade students kicked off what promises to be a great year with the “Our Future’s So Bright, We Gotta Wear Shades” fashion show. After transforming plain sunglasses into colorful, creative works of art that reflected their personalities, students strutted down the corridor to show off their one-of-a-kind shades for their hallway neighbors.

Our first Tiger Tuesday is in the books! 🐯

This morning, our first- through eighth-grade students gathered in cross-divisional groups to explore Community and Belonging. They learned one another’s names, discovered what they have in common, and began building connections with the students and adults they’ll meet with throughout the year.

Throughout campus, we loved seeing students of different ages listening, laughing, and getting to know one another. Those small moments of connection captured exactly what Tiger Tuesdays are all about. 💙

Thank you to the sixth-grade student who shared a thoughtful perspective on belonging in Chapel, to our school counselors and clergy for bringing Tiger Tuesdays to life, and to every faculty and staff member who made our first gathering possible.

We’re excited to see these connections grow throughout the year!

What a way to close out the first week! 🤝 Our seventh-grade students, the Class of 2028, spent the morning building trust and teamwork together, from guiding blindfolded partners across obstacles to working through group puzzle challenges. Great things happen when a class learns to communicate, problem-solve, and support each other from day one. Proud of how this group showed up for one another today!
