🧡💙 Titan families, we're 60 strong. Help us get to 150!

This school year, the Thunderbird Parent Association has already invested more than $6,000 back into Thunderbird High School. Most of that has gone straight to requests from our teachers for classroom support, helping make Thunderbird a great place to learn, and from our administration for teacher support, helping make Thunderbird a great place to work.

Our $27 for 2026/27 campaign is one of the easiest ways to be part of it. A gift of $27 (or more, if you're able!) keeps that support flowing to our classrooms, our students, and the teachers and staff who show up for our kids every day.

Today the TPA hosted our first Fun Friday of the year. We moved the games inside so kids could enjoy some AC as they played! A big thanks to the gym teachers who gave us permission to use the gym and to all our volunteers!

Fun Fridays are back! The TPA is looking for volunteers to help us make them fun - and maybe even memorable - for Thunderbird students. 📣 Thunderbird parents & guardians — you’re invited!

Join us Wednesday, August 19, for the first Thunderbird Parent Association (TPA) gathering of the 2026–27 school year!

We’ll kick things off at 6:00 p.m. with some casual social time where you can meet other Thunderbird parents and guardians, connect with our TPA team, and learn a little more about what we do. Then, at 6:30 p.m., we’ll begin our first official meeting of the year.

💙 Why TPA?
Thunderbird has some fantastic booster groups supporting individual sports, clubs, and activities. TPA is different: we are the only parent organization dedicated to supporting students, teachers, and staff across the entire school.

Our work generally falls into five areas:

🎉 Student Experiences — creating and supporting activities that make the high school experience even better
🍎 Classroom Support & Teacher Appreciation — providing resources and showing our amazing teachers and staff some love
👋 Parent Engagement — helping parents stay connected and involved in the Thunderbird community
🎓 Senior Traditions — making senior year memorable for the Class of 2027
🏃 Strides for Schools 5K — planning our biggest fundraiser of the year!

And there’s another great reason to attend: a member of the THS administration team joins us at every meeting to share school updates and answer parent questions.

Whether you want to volunteer, have ideas to share, want to know more about what’s happening at Thunderbird, or simply want to meet some other parents, you are welcome at TPA! There’s no special membership required to attend — just come join us.

📍 The Thunderdome — Thunderbird’s large conference room, with an entrance on the east side of Building A (the same building as the front office).

We have a lot planned for Thunderbird this year, and we’d love to have more parents and guardians be part of it. Come see where you might fit in! 💙🧡

Well the start of the school year must officially be upon us as a group of THS Class of 2027 students braved the heat today to paint their parking spaces! We still have a handful of space available if anyone is interested (order form should be a a post or two below this one).

A big thank you to all the volunteers who helped prep the spaces and make sure all the kids found their spot.

It might have been hot today, but it was also a lot of fun!

It’s been a busy week for THS admin, teachers and staff as they prepared to make 2026/27 a great year for our kids. The TPA thanked them by providing breakfast and some classroom supplies on Tuesday. A big thank you to the TPA volunteers who organized the breakfast!
