Catalina’s STEAM Elective Students are launching their Give One, Get One Family Recipe Project.
Students shown here are mixing up FRESH Pesto using special ingredients grown by Catalina STEAM Elective students.

As a long-standing Catalina tradition, we were so excited to host our Cookie Cottage Family Event last night. The houses were spectacular and much and community was shared by all!
A special thank you to Miss Nizchma for all of your hard work with this event. It is volunteers like you that make Catalina a very special place to learn and grow!

Congratulations to Mr. Calabrese and the Catalina Band for a stellar Winter Band Concert! The Tiger Gym was packed as the 5th grade and Middle School Bands performed several musical numbers. Their hard work and dedication truly showed. Way to go Tigers! We are so proud of you!

With technology booming in Arizona, it is great to know that our Catalina Tigers will have the skills they need to compete in this vastly growing industry.
Check out these first graders who are learning to code robots in Ms. Baronoski’s coding class. They have been working on sequencing lines of code to make the robot complete tasks.
Why coding?
Coding boosts problem-solving and improves computational thinking skills. It encourages persistence, promotes creativity, and teaches digital literacy. It also improves confidence and communication skills with real world application.
Oh… and it is SUPER fun!

The Catalina Booster Club is happy to announce the return of our annual Cookie Cottage night! Families are invited to come and create a mini-gingerbread houses with all of the trimmings. There will be some other special surprises, too!
Families MUST call the office and reserve a spot to attend. There will be 2 sessions offered. Space is limited. Reservations will open on Tuesday, December 13th. This is a free event!
Families are invited to stay for the winter band concert in the Tiger Gym @ 6pm.

This Thursday, November 17th families may join us for a traditional Thanksgiving feast during all lunches. Presale tickets are available now through Wednesday. Adult meals are $3.85 and siblings under 18 are $2.70. Exact change is required.

Catalina’s 3rd grade Coding Club members are having a blast learning how to program the Dash Robots! These dedicated engineers are mastering how to code by having the robots complete many different tasks. They are working together to solve problems and troubleshoot in real-time. Campus Beautification Project!
A very big thank you to former Catalina Tiger, Noe Gonzales for organizing this HUGE project. Noe, along with Boy Scout Troop volunteers, painted these AMAZING outdoor four-square and hopscotch activities around campus. Students will enjoy these for many, many years to come! We are so excited to have the Scholastic Book Fair on campus this upcoming week! Students will have the opportunity to purchase some awesome books and fun learning tools. Your child's teacher will let you know the day and time your class will be shopping as a group.
Help raise some funds and new books for Catalina!
The fair will also be open after-school three days so parents may bring their children to shop. (This would also be a great time to come by yourself and get a jump-start on some holiday gifts!)
