This week, our Advanced Band, led by Band Director Peter Tearse, had the honor of performing at the Alhambra Elementary School District Retiree Banquet. Our talented 6thβ8th grade musicians once again exceeded expectations, filling the room with music that left guests erupting in applause. Their hard work, dedication, and confidence on stage were truly impressive and a reflection of the excellence and Catalina PRIDE they bring to every performance. We are so proud of these student musicians for representing Catalina with such professionalism and talent! πΊπ―

This week, we also had the opportunity to honor the arts by watching our students participate in the final Spring 2026 Band and Choir performances β and WOW, they did not disappoint! πΆπ€
Their growth, talent, confidence, and dedication were incredibly impressive and on full display throughout each performance. A huge shout out to Mr. Tearse, our Band Director, and Mrs. McGlothen, our Choir Director, for their hard work and commitment to ensuring our students felt prepared, supported, and ready to shine on stage.
At Catalina, we truly believe every student has genius, and these talented musicians reminded us just how special our students are. Their performances were something our entire Catalina community can be proud of! πΎππ§‘

Today we celebrated our spring clubs and sports with an exciting Pep Assembly! ππ We wrapped up the assembly with a not-so-friendly π and highly competitive volleyball game between our boys and girls teams. The boys may have come out victorious this timeβ¦ but we have a feeling a rematch could be happening in the near future!
Thank you to all of our students who participated in clubs and sports and helped make them such a successful part of the Catalina community. A huge thank you also goes out to our parents for your continued support of your child(ren) and for partnering with us to celebrate and grow student strengths both inside and outside of the classroom.
We also want to recognize and thank all of our coaches and club sponsors for the time, energy, and heart you pour into our students. Your dedication helps create opportunities for students to build confidence, teamwork, leadership, and Catalina PRIDE both on and off campus. π―ππ§‘
