As a long-standing Catalina tradition, we were so excited to host our Cookie Cottage Family Event last night. The houses were spectacular and much and community was shared by all!

Congratulations to Mr. Calabrese and the Catalina Band for a stellar Winter Band Concert! The Tiger Gym was packed as the 5th grade and Middle School Bands performed several musical numbers. Their hard work and dedication truly showed. Way to go Tigers! We are so proud of you!

With technology booming in Arizona, it is great to know that our Catalina Tigers will have the skills they need to compete in this vastly growing industry.
Check out these first graders who are learning to code robots in Ms. Baronoski’s coding class. They have been working on sequencing lines of code to make the robot complete tasks.
Coding boosts problem-solving and improves computational thinking skills. It encourages persistence, promotes creativity, and teaches digital literacy. It also improves confidence and communication skills with real world application.
Oh… and it is SUPER fun!

The Catalina Booster Club is happy to announce the return of our annual Cookie Cottage night! Families are invited to come and create a mini-gingerbread houses with all of the trimmings. There will be some other special surprises, too!
Families MUST call the office and reserve a spot to attend. There will be 2 sessions offered. Space is limited. Reservations will open on Tuesday, December 13th. This is a free event!
Families are invited to stay for the winter band concert in the Tiger Gym @ 6pm.

Catalina’s 3rd grade Coding Club members are having a blast learning how to program the Dash Robots! These dedicated engineers are mastering how to code by having the robots complete many different tasks. They are working together to solve problems and troubleshoot in real-time. Thank you to Ms. Baronoski for coaching these amazing Catalina Tigers!
