Dulaney SGO is excited to announce HoCo 2023… "Haunted Homecoming”

SPIRIT WEEK 10/23-10/27
Monday: “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” (dress like a Charlie Brown character or a pumpkin)
Tuesday: “Terror Tuesday” (dress scary, no masks or props)
Wednesday: “White Lie Wednesday” (wear a white t-shirt and write a lie on it ***must be school appropriate)
Thursday: ScareCrows vs Witches
Friday: Dulaney Day

Friday 10/27 Pep Rally: Performances by the Marching Band, Cheerleaders, and Dance Team. acknowledgment of Fall sprots teams, crowning of Homecoming King and Queen. Prince and Princess and more…
The pep rally takes place during school, from 1:30-2:30 in the stadium.
• Seniors and Juniors will sit in the HOME bleachers
• Sophomores and Freshmen will sit in the AWAY Bleachers
• Students not sitting in the bleachers should spread out along the fence line surrounding the track. The area between the 2 bleachers must be kept clear.

Homecoming Tickets will go on sale on MONDAY October 16th DURING lunches. You may buy tickets for DULANEY students only 10/16-10/19 GUEST tickets will go on sale on 10/23. Tickets will be $20 on 10/16-10/19. Starting 10/23 ALL tickets will be $25. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD ON Friday 10/27. Students must have a completed GUEST FORM to buy a guest ticket. Forms are available outside room 208 or in the main office. IF there are tickets available, tickets will also be sold in the cafeteria on Saturday 10/28 from 12-2 pm. No tickets will be sold at the door. If you are a SENIOR who is not here for lunch, please see Ms. Reynolds in Room 208 with a copy of your schedule to buy a ticket.

GUIDELINES FOR THE DANCE

Students should be dropped off and picked up in the bus loop or students can park in either lot for the dance. The entrance to the dance will be at the gym lobby doors. Students may enter the dance starting at 7PM and must be inside or in line for entry by 7:30PM. NO entry after 7:30PM. Once a student leaves the dance they may not return. All School rules are in effect while at the event. Appropriate dance attire is required. Costumes are allowed but no masks or props. No Backpacks allowed but we will have a Coat Check.

Students must check in with a PHOTO ID and TICKET(it does not have to be a BCPS ID) to gain entry to the dance.
We understand however, that some students may not have received a BCPS ID. Here are some options:
• you can use your learners permit, or driver's license.
• take a screen shot of your FOCUS page with your name and picture
• take a screenshot of a recent yearbook photo (name must be under the student's photo)
• take selfie with one of your current teachers holding a piece of paper containing the name of student.
• We do NOT recommend bringing passports (this has happened in the past).
If the student is a guest with a Dulaney student, then they should have a completed guest form on file to enter the dance but should also have a photo ID or the ability show us their name and photo like the FOCUS option for Dulaney students.

PEP RALLY will be on FRIDAY 10/27 'A' day in the stadium(weather permitting) during the school day. All students will attend.

SPIRIT WEEK kicks off on 10/23.

Tickets for the dance will go on sale on 10/16 for $20 to DULANEY STUDENTS ONLY. Guest tickets(if there are some available) will go on sale 10/23. Tickets will be sold at all lunch shifts. If a SENIOR does not stay for lunch, they are to see Ms. Reynolds in Room 208 with a copy of their schedule to buy a ticket. Guest tickets will be $25. In order to buy a guest ticket, a GUEST FORM must be COMPLETE (with all required info and business cards). Guest forms are available starting next week outside of room 208 AND On the Dulaney website!!!

Photo IDs(does not have to be student id) are required for entrance to the dance. Students will be told a variety of ways to make this happen if they don't actually have a photo id. Suggestions will be shared during LEAD periods. Costumes are NOT recommended dance attire. But if they choose to wear costumes for the dance NO MASKS and NO PROPS are allowed. There will be a coat check at the dance but NO BAGS should be brought into the building.

A signup genus will be shared for PARENT VOLUNTEERS from 6:30-10:30 on the night of the dance. Keep an eye on your email.

The Homecoming Parade will be at 9 am on Saturday 10/28. Information will be given to coaches and clubs etc on how your student can participate in the parade. The parade route is around the block that surrounds Dulaney. Please SAVE THE DATE to come on out and watch the parade.
