My name is Jennifer and I help softball athletes with the recruiting process. As a former D1 college outfielder and lefty slapper I had no idea where to start with the recruiting process. I spent countless hours figuring out what to say, where to send the emails, and trying to decide where I fit in the college softball world. I spent most of my senior year stressing out.
This is why I started helping girls with the recruiting process and it has been so rewarding.
Here is what I offer:
Advisement from me (Coach Jennifer Turner)
Profile on College Athlete Advantage
Player Evaluation (1 per year)
Help with Emails
Analytics report
Messaging system
Help with skills video
Help with game footage videos
Calling coaches on her behalf (as long as she is able to play there)
Camp advice & More
I use an online platform through College Athlete Advantage. The platform has over 1000 commits from high level D1 to a local JUCO

🚨 ACTION ITEM FOR EVERY RECRUIT 🚨
Take 10 minutes today and look at your target school list.
Ask yourself:
❓ How many Division I schools are on it?
❓ How many Division II schools are on it?
❓ How many Division III schools are on it?
❓ How many NAIA schools are on it?
❓ How many JUCO schools are on it?
If your list is heavily weighted toward only one division, it’s time to expand it.
This week:
✅ Add 5 new schools from a different division
✅ Research their programs
✅ Follow their coaching staff on social media
✅ Send an introductory email
✅ Add them to your outreach plan
Recruiting is constantly changing.
Coaches leave.
Players transfer.
Roster needs change.
The athletes who create the most opportunities are the athletes building relationships before they need them.
Don’t limit your options.
Build connections across all divisions and let the recruiting process work for you.
🥎 Your next opportunity may come from a school you haven’t considered yet.

🚨 SHOWCASE TOURNAMENT OVER… NOW WHAT?
Many athletes put all of their energy into preparing for a showcase tournament, but the athletes who separate themselves understand that recruiting doesn’t end when the last game is played.
Here are the next steps every athlete should take:
✅ Send follow-up emails to coaches who watched you play
Thank them for their time and express continued interest.
✅ Share video clips
If you captured quality footage, send coaches a few clips that highlight your strengths.
✅ Update coaches with your results
Include tournament stats, awards, or notable performances.
✅ Reflect on your performance
What went well? What can you improve before the next event?
✅ Update your recruiting profile
Keep your information current with new stats, schedules, and accomplishments.
✅ Stay consistent
One tournament rarely determines recruiting outcomes. Relationships are built through consistent communication and continued development.
Remember:
The showcase gets you seen.
The follow-up helps you get recruited.

🚨 THERE IS NO PERFECT RECRUITING TIMELINE 🚨
One of the biggest mistakes athletes make is believing recruiting follows a predictable schedule.
It doesn’t.
The recruiting landscape is constantly changing.
A coach you spoke with last month might take a new job tomorrow.
A school that wasn’t recruiting your position may suddenly have an opening because a player transferred.
A roster that looked full can change overnight.
Players leave.
Coaches leave.
Needs change.
And that’s exactly why comparing your journey to someone else’s is so dangerous.
The athlete who committed as a freshman is not on the same path as the athlete who commits as a senior.
Neither path is wrong.
The truth is recruiting has always been fluid, but today it feels more unpredictable than ever.
So what can you control?
✅ Your development
✅ Your communication
✅ Your effort
✅ Your preparation
✅ Your attitude
Trusting the process doesn’t mean sitting back and hoping something happens.
It means having confidence that you’re doing the right things consistently, even when the results aren’t immediate.
Keep improving.
Keep building relationships.
Keep putting yourself in front of the right schools.
Your opportunity can appear when you least expect it.
Stay ready for it. 🥎
