BASIS Peoria 5th grader, Aaditya N., BASIS Ahwatukee Junior, Aaradhya P., and BASIS Mesa Senior, Shilo K. are showing Arizona that the future of technology is in good hands.

🪛Dr. Chen’s Physics class recently discovered that the best way to understand how something works is to take it apart first!

Students carefully disassembled a TI graphing calculator to find out what’s actually happening inside.

This hands-on activity gave students the opportunity to practice real engineering skills, disassembling a complex device, identifying its components, observing how the pieces fit together, and thinking about how those individual parts work together as a system.

Exploring, asking questions, and problem-solving makes learning meaningful and unforgettable!

🐾 Last week, students in grades 4-6 welcomed some very special visitors from !

The dogs and their handlers stopped by English classes to share how service and assistance dogs make a meaningful difference in the lives of so many people every day.

Students enjoyed reading Andy: A Dog's Tale and will be extending their learning through follow-up writing projects.

A big thank you to Mrs. Receuver for organizing this memorable experience. Ocean, her service dog, was especially excited to have all his furry friends visit! 🐶💙

✈️ BASIS Ahwatukee alumnus Elijah Patterson (Class of 2017) is pursuing his aviation dreams that began when he was just 10 years old.

In the latest edition of Alumni Voices, Elijah shares how BASIS challenged him to think critically, embrace challenges, and pursue excellence.

💺Get inspired by Elijah's story and learn how his dream of flying in the captain’s seat of a major airline carrier is taking flight.

Elijah Patterson always loved planes and aviation. While working as a social worker, he has found a way to combine his career and his passions through resiliency and leadership.
