Brophy College Preparatory Athletics

TRACK & FIELD / The Brophy track and field team placed 12th with 22 points at the AIA Division I Championships, which were held at Red Mountain High School.

Senior Tanner Bice finished third in the high jump with a personal-best clearance of 6-6, the third-best performer in school history in the event, and sophomore Henry O’Riley was fifth at 6-3. Garrett Larsen crossed the line sixth in the 400m in 48.53. The 4x800m relay placed eighth in 8:08.86 with Colin St. Hilaire, Spencer Nick, Shane Smith, and Josiah Colburt.

Freshman Hudson Hensley finished second in the javelin on Thursday with a best of 192-9. It is the Arizona State freshman record (breaking his own record) and No. 2 among freshmen in the nation. He is second all-time in Brophy history to Darius Alberty (197-11.25)

TENNIS / The Brophy tennis team lost to Hamilton in the AIA Division I Tennis Team Championship 5-0 at Paseo Racquet Club. The Broncos were playing in the state championship for the ninth consecutive year, having won the title in both 2024 and 2025 and six of the last eight seasons.

Brophy finished the season with a 20-6 record, 13-1 in the regular season in Arizona, and 5-1 in Premier region play.

The Huskies won their first title in school history after falling to Brophy last season.

VOLLEYBALL / Brophy opened the 6A Conference playoffs with a 3-0 win over Mesa by scores of 25-15, 25-11, 25-19. Jonny Magro had 11 kills, and Brodie White added 10. Elvis Fischer had 24 assists, and Jude Keane recorded 13 digs. Brophy travels to No. 4 Chandler on Tuesday at 6 pm
