On behalf of the VCLATINX Conference organizing committee, it is our honor to announce a new roundtable for the upcoming May conference.

Michael Podolny, CEO of Theodora Africa, will help us learn how education and opportunity walk hand in hand for women in minorities - with a focus on Theodora's latest project.

Theodora Africa provides training for trafficked women - teaching them business skills and helping them set up virtual assistant services.

The conference has a social mission of inclusion at heart, and if you have a need for virtual assistance, please meet Theodora Africa and learn all about these fabulous women entrepreneurs.

Session Description: Does education create jobs? Or does job creation drive education? This roundtable discussion will go over the lessons learned by the ground-breaking Theodora Africa project that made creating an outsourcing business the foundation for its educational and social impact transformation project. At a time when youth unemployment is a major problem in Africa, shortening the runway from training to meaningful and fulfilling employment is critical. Yet African domestic markets are not filling the need. Focusing on opportunities to provide outsourced services can fill this need. But, this road has challenges. We will discuss how Theodora Africa is addressing them and how others might do the same.
