Happy 4th of July! 🎆
A little reminder that today isn’t just about fireworks and BBQ — it’s also a perfect day to sneak in a song, hum your favorite tune, and let music work its magic on your mood. 🎶✨
Your nervous system loves a good beat too.
Comment “freedom” for my 4th of July Party Playlist!

The lyrics you listen to shape your mood, stress levels, and how you see yourself.

I’ve added songs for these 5 health foundations:
Mental - recognizing your worth
Emotional - self esteem
Spiritual - grace
Social - community
Physical - dance this one out to add energy to the day

Positive, clean lyrics aren’t just for kids — they improve focus, boost joy, and help regulate emotions for adults, too.

Music is powerful! Need a mood boost? Everyone cranky? Turn up the volume and play that funky music.
Let me know in the comments what your family grooves to together.

***Summer means lots of travel time in a vehicle or time at home. Create a playlist of the family’s favorite songs to play at home, on the plane, on a road trip, or after pickup from camp.

During my music studies, I read that before we even speak, we’re communicating through rhythm and tone — the rise and fall of a mother’s voice, a lullaby’s hum, a heartbeat heard in the womb.

Music is our first language. And when we get busy and overwhelmed, it’s one of the first things we forget to reach for.

In our home, its a way to connect and communicate…and as a reset button.

Not just for them but for me. I used to play piano with my babies in my lap 💗 Now they play for me and we have music flowing in and out of the house (and maybe your piano, too, if we are visiting 😂).
