To my ESS teachers, ESS mother (Bobby dearest), and ESS students:

Today, I was going through all of my school notes that I took during our grand adventure. I can't bring myself to throw away a single page of notes. Each page holds a memory to me. I can remember sitting on top of so-and-so mountain, or so-and-so beach, or so-and-so boat taking these notes and actually seeing the science. These pages are covered in dirt or crinkled by water. Dirt and water that I got to put my hands into to understand our Earth.

Today, I skim through pages that hold two month of my life. Two months that I have never learned, seen, or understood so much. I'm not sure if I can quantify all of the emotions that I had felt then and now. The during and after. I've never opened my eyes quite so much or worked so hard.

Thank you Environmental Science Semester. You were worth every penny, every goodbye, every hello, every late homework night, every early morning travel, and for every every.

I encourage you all, no matter the age or financial status, to try your own adventure. It could be to your back yard or to another country. You just have to see the adventure that is waiting to be found. Go explore! It's a big world out there and you never know what or who you will see.

Adventure on explorers,
-Erin
