Did a little challenge for myself just now…five 5’ pitchers. What’s your favorite shape?

These will all get freshly pulled handles tomorrow once they’ve firmed a bit.

A lot of people tell me making pottery must be so therapeutic or relaxing. Throwing on the pottery wheel is definitely my favorite part of the process.

But the truth is, the process is 90% grunt work. That could be recycling clay, sweeping the floors, moving and organizing supplies, grinding kiln shelves, etc.

For example, today was about driving to Louisville and back to pick up 1000 lbs of clay.

And now to unload…

The fifth annual Strawberry Festival will return to The Cottage on June 13-14, bringing two days of food, shopping, live music, and family-friendly activities to western Daviess County.

KY mugs are back!! 13 mugs available from this batch and I’ll be producing more soon. $25 each.

Also fresh out of the kiln are dip bowls and small cups. The cups are great for sipping on a favorite beverage and the dip bowls are great for meal prep, salsa and dips, or a snack bowl. We use these all the time in our kitchen! $10 for each of the cups and bowls.
