Pinnacle Equine Training was started by ICP certified Three Day Event and Dressage rider, Kelsey Horn. Kelsey has gained experience by training and competing her personal horses up the ranks of eventing and dressage. She brought her first eventing horse from beginner novice through Preliminary and her second from Novice to the FEI two star level. Her dressage mare she started herself and is now su
ccessfully competing at USDF Third Level Dressage. Through training and competitions as well as instructing students of all levels she has learned that knowledgeable horse care and management, as well as correctly applied equitation techniques and ground work, are the cornerstones for success. She is very dedicated to the sport of eventing because of the variety of skills it brings to a horse and rider and she actively promotes it as both a teacher and a professional competitor. As an instructor, she teaches her students to establish clear and manageable relationships with their horses. In her own experience as well as working with her students, she has found dressage work to be the basis for moving up the levels of jumping. By stressing correct rider position and consistent practices, she has helped her students achieve their goals. Kelsey has a professional goal to continue to grow as an instructor and rider by learning from the best. She has participated in numerous clinics with world class riders such as Eric Smiley, Boyd Martin, James Alliston, Don Sachey, Brian Sabo, and Colleen Rutledge to name a few. Her goals are to compete at the highest level of eventing and eventually represent the U.S. Pinnacle Syndicate is the owner of Kelsey's new competition horse, Tomlong Ratatouille. He is affectionately called, Rat, and Kelsey looks forward to a bright future with him starting in the 2015 show season!
