Our response to recent events in the USA.
We echo the words of Dr. Kate Masur, Professor of History at Northwestern University who today, participated in an NPR interview on The Take Away (https://www.npr.org/podcasts/381444253/pri-the-takeaway) "From the Civil War..." , in that education philosophy is partly to blame, especially with regard to the lack of research, funding and the slanted rhetoric in our K-12 textbooks on the social studies, civics, and history. We here at 21st Century Education are now going to turn our attention to our research of over two decades ago. Our publication "Education for Transition Towards a Global Society: A K-8 Social Science Framework" is more valid today than ever. (Available from Academia.edu for free or from Amazon).
