Dear Friends, a few days ago, Laura Simms was at a public school in Queens, standing in the door way while children in the room were greeting her and fervently calling her name when two unaccompanied children came barreling down the hallway and literally knocked her off her feet and resulting in a broken right shoulder. "My right arm looks like a roasted turkey without feathers."

Laura is at home and on the mend. The good news is she will not need surgery. The other news is all of her work (including the 4 weeks of storytelling through a literacy program in NYC schools ) is cancelled for the next 6 weeks. All prayers, love and healing thoughts are welcomed. Feel free to reach out to her via Facebook, or text and email. After August 10th she will available for phone coaching. Highly recommended!

Angela Lloyd here - Seeking a few good men to join the conversation at Laura Simms's 30th Annual Storytelling Residency. Years ago we had several men who had worked with Robert Bly at his men's retreats they brought their wisdom and experience with oral tradition tales to the work.

We have rooms available for 3-5 more participants male or female or gender neutral, join us for six days and nights at River's Bend Retreat Center in Philo, CA. $1450 covers housing, organic meals, and instruction with a master teacher and her assistants.
