May is Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible impact school-based speech-language pathologists have on student success.

SLPs play a vital role in helping students communicate, connect, and thrive in the classroom and beyond. From supporting speech and language development to improving social communication, fluency, and feeding skills, their work helps students build confidence and gain the tools they need to succeed every day.

This month, we honor the dedication of speech-language pathologists who empower students to find their voice and reach their fullest potential both in and out of the classroom.

April is Occupational Therapy (OT) Month, a time to recognize and celebrate the incredible impact of school-based occupational therapy practitioners on student success.

OTs play a vital role in helping students participate fully in their academic and daily school activities. From supporting fine and gross motor development to enhancing sensory regulation and social participation, their work helps students build the skills they need to thrive.

This month, we honor the dedication of occupational therapists who empower students to reach their fullest potential both in and out of the classroom.

The NCKSEC providers of gifted services have been awarded a teacher mini-grant by the Smoky Hill Education Foundation. Tracie Ford and Kim Kasson wrote a grant and received money to purchase materials that support activities to Encourage Thinking and Creativity. We congratulate and thank our gifted providers for their work supporting students!
