HAAKON SCHOOL DISTRICT
NOTICE OF SURPLUS PROPERTY FOR SALE BY SEALED BID
The Haakon School District is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of the following surplus property:
ITEM 1 – TRUE 3-DOOR UPRIGHT FREEZER
One True commercial upright, 3-door freezer measuring approximately 84" tall × 78" wide × 30" deep.
ITEM 2 – TRUE 2-DOOR UPRIGHT FREEZER
One True commercial upright, 2-door freezer measuring approximately 84" tall × 54" wide × 30" deep.
ITEM 3A – PORT-A-COOL SWAMP COOLER
One Port-A-Cool swamp cooler, Model PAC2K482S, 48", 2-speed, 115 VAC/60Hz, 12.0 amps.
ITEM 3B – PORT-A-COOL SWAMP COOLER
One Port-A-Cool swamp cooler, Model PAC2K482S, 48", 2-speed, 115 VAC/60Hz, 12.0 amps.
Items 3A and 3B will be sold separately. Bidders may submit a bid on either or both units.
ITEM 4 – WOODEN FOOTBALL FIELD POLES – SOLD AS ONE LOT
Nine wooden poles removed from the District's football field:
• Eight poles approximately 60 feet long
• One pole approximately 26 feet long
The poles will be sold as one lot only. Individual bids on separate poles will not be considered. Any lights or lighting equipment shown with the poles in photographs are NOT included in the sale.
CONDITION OF PROPERTY
All property is being sold AS IS, WHERE IS, with no warranties or guarantees, expressed or implied, regarding condition, operation, or suitability for any purpose. Interested parties are encouraged to inspect the property before submitting a bid.

BID SUBMISSION
Sealed bids must be received by 5:00 p.m. MST, Monday, September 22, 2026, and submitted to:

The outside of the sealed envelope must be clearly marked "SURPLUS PROPERTY BID" and identify the item number(s) being bid on.
Bidders may bid on more than one item but must clearly state a separate bid amount for each item. Items 3A and 3B are considered separate items for bidding purposes. Item 4 includes all nine wooden poles and must be bid on as one lot.
Bids will be opened at the School Board meeting on Monday, September 22, 2026.
The Haakon School District Board of Education reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bidding process, and to determine what is in the best interest of the District.
PAYMENT
Successful bidders will be notified following Board action. Payment must be made in full to the Haakon School District before any purchased property may be removed from District premises. Payment arrangements should be made with the District Business Office.
REMOVAL OF PROPERTY
All purchased property must be removed from Haakon School District property no later than December 31, 2026.
Successful bidders are responsible for all labor, equipment, loading, transportation, and other costs associated with removing purchased property. The Haakon School District will not provide equipment or assistance with loading.
Removal must be coordinated in advance with Superintendent Curt Littau so that an appropriate date and time can be arranged.
The successful bidder for Item 4 – Wooden Football Field Poles is responsible for safely loading, securing, and transporting all nine poles.
Successful bidders for the freezers and Port-A-Cool units are responsible for providing the equipment and personnel necessary to safely move, load, and transport the items.
