Ever wonder what a naloxone prescription ACTUALLY looks like? Well, with the help of the PA Physician General Rachel Levine and her standing order, you can find out for yourself! Walk up to any pharmacy stocking naloxone and ask for some!
Today, some students from our team encouraged a few community members to get naloxone, and after educating them, they did!
So what are you waiting for? 🤔

This week in Practice Lab and Case Studies, P3 students were (and will be) trained in how to recognize the signs of an overdose and use naloxone! Today, they put their skills to the test with a simulation of a patient who had overdosed.
This group of P3’s did a great job of reviving their patient!

Today during APhA-ASP’s 3rd general meeting, we were fortunate enough to hear from Dr. Jake Nichols! He spoke about his experiences throughout pharmacy school and as a pharmacist who has struggled with addiction.
—
Currently, Dr. Nichols specializes in addiction medicine, specifically in medication treatment options for opioid dependency, and does talks like this all the time!
—
We are so thankful that he took the time out of his busy schedule to come speak to us and we can’t wait to hear from him again soon! 💊
