Rush Arts Home and School The goal of the Rush Arts Home and School Association is to encourage and foster interaction, community and cooperation among families, school administration and teachers, in order to improve the high school experience for all.

Volunteers needed!

The Home and School is in need of officers and volunteers for this year. There are a number of events that will not be able to happen this school year unless we are able to create a working Home and School Association, and we can't do that without your help!

If you are interested in helping the students have the best possible high school experience by volunteering a small amount of your time, please contact Joann Taweel at [email protected]

Dear Parents/Families of Rush Arts,

After revisiting the start time for Rush Arts, our School District and Transportation Services have agreed to change our school start time to 7:45am and our end time will be 2:49pm for the 2021-2022 school year. This is different from last year but still later than the 7:30am time the District announced earlier this month.

Furthermore: On Thursday, July 29, 2021 at 5:30pm, the school will will host a Zoom meeting to answer any questions we can about the new start time AND meet the new Principal!

March is Youth Art Month. The Pennsylvania Art Education Youth Art Month Artist Exhibition active link is below. Each member of the National Art Education Association, Pennsylvania Art Education Association was permitted to submit three works representing their school. Rush submitted pieces created by Sanjana Orion, Sara Le, and Allison Beveridge.

You need to virtually move through the exhibit hall. The High School Gallery is towards the back so you will have to move through several rooms to reach it.

I am happy to report that Allison Beveridge was awarded TWO blue ribbons. I am very excited to see how this is presented at the awards ceremony on March 20th (virtually). The ceremony will be recorded and uploaded to the PAEA youtube.

It's here and it's time! The official Class of 2021 yard/window sign designed by Student Body President Brenda Rodriguez-Leonardo and Vice President Messiah Allah-Divine. They are $8 for the sign and an additional $2 if you want metal stakes to place in the ground or zip tie it to a railing. If you are going to just place it in a front window or on a wall, you only need to buy the sign.

I was just here last week and we had potholes still. look at this beautiful asphalt. I have been volunteering with Rush art for 8 years and it took this long to finally get the driveway repaved. Now we just need signage!!!!
