Happy International Women’s day! To celebrate, we’re kicking off our month long celebration of Women’s Month by hosting workshops and fundraising bingo with ucity Sigmas! Be sure to check out our sisters’ stories as well as and ! Hope to see you all at our workshops!

In the midst of a loving holiday, we recognize that there may be a darker side to some relationships. Let’s stay safe and aware, and protect each other. To kick off our celebration of let’s talk about African American Vernacular English. Most of us use it on a daily basis, however it is often criticized as not being proper English. When it’s popularized and used by non-Black people, it’s suddenly fine. Let’s take the time to think about how we’re appropriating Black culture through our everyday language and learn the history of it.
