PopUpPlay is a Philadelphia area based company that designs parties, active workshops and festivals. We mobilize the power and potential of strong, engaging virtual and in person programming to build community and connect with a global audience. PopUpPlay has facilitated play and relationship development for school systems, families and community-based organizations on four continents. We Believe in Powerful Play:
1. People of all ages learn best through play.
2. Play builds connections between people and is how we build social bonds. It strengthens relationships between families and communities.
3. Play requires imagination and willingness to take a risk, not fancy equipment.​

Celebrate the long weekend with PopUpPlay! We'll be at Spruce Street Harbor Park Saturday, Sunday, AND Monday with free programming every day 1-4. We'll be making and flying kites, building forts, and designing Shadow Puppet shows. See you there!

We love learning what's possible when families work together.... Introducing the first ever duck catapult used for flinging rubber ducks into the fountain.

Our favorite thing about this family was their generosity. All the kids wanted to try this fabulous design and all four creators showed other kids how it worked.

We need each other to make our best, big, beautiful, things.

This weekend PopUpPlay and each of the families at the Oval grew a wonderfully wild garden. Each person was asked to design and contribute one cardboard petal and together (over 250 petals later) we ended up with this magical collaborative artwork.

We're powerful together y'all!
