Temple Debate enjoying the fall weather at last weekend's tournament at Fordham University! Great turn out from the team as everyone improves their debating skills!

Debater Ben Felps had to say, "I got to improve my skills against some extremely talented people and explore New York City a little bit"

Last weekend we sent Luiza Shirinian to Harvard's tournament. Here's what she had to say about the experience!

"The Harvard APDA Tournament was like no other. Observing some of the best debaters in the country firsthand taught me a great deal in regard to professional technique and performance, which I will take with me to future debate tournaments. Walking on the grounds of this prestigious university, including the Harvard Law School in between rounds, felt absolutely amazing and inspired. It was one hectic weekend, however, the privileged experience at Harvard along with fellow APDA members was completely worth it. Can't wait to be back next year with Temple Debate Society!"

Temple Debate Society at the Swarthmore Novice Tournament this past weekend! TDS sent 5 teams of novices to this tournament plus several others to observe, making this the largest delegation Temple has sent to a tournament. Some novices won their rounds, and all experienced a great learning experience as many debators came away with experience and tips to help build their skills.

For all members and friends of TDS, FMR Vice President Anh Nguyen was the familiar face at practices and tournaments. Along with President Jemie Fofanah, Nguyen's passion and commitment to the team had translated into a first ever Temple tournament in 10 years, thousands of dollars in donation and a successful 15-16 season for TDS's debaters.
