Norwood schedules ‘upcycling’ drive - The Chestnut Hill Local Norwood-Fontbonne Academy’s technology department is hosting an “upcycling” drive to collect electronic equipment, in partnership with the electronic waste company Upcycle USA.

Last week, the Class of 2029 enjoyed a bbq picnic in Nello’s Garden.

On behalf of Rep. Tarik Khan, Dr. Megan Stotz, NFA’s Media Studies teacher and Technology Integration Specialist, presented two final awards for the 2025-2026 school year during Thursday morning’s prayer service in the Fontbonne Commons.

Sofia H. ‘27 was the recipient of the House of Representatives Academic Achievement and Extracurricular Excellence Award and Liam M. ‘27 was the recipient of the House of Representatives Community-Building, Compassion, Leadership, and Service to Others Award. Congratulations, Sofia and Liam!

This student understands that true leadership is not about recognition, but about serving others, building connections, and creating a sense of belonging for everyone.

It is with sadness that we share the news of the unexpected passing of John McDermott ’65 on May 30. We ask our NFA community to join us in offering prayers and support for the McDermott family as they mourn his loss.
