Attention NMN Audience! NMN is expanding with True North Therapeutic Academic Support LLC and is in need of your help!
We are looking for community space (offices that are sitting empty) or investors to get the next phase of our educational support programming off of the ground.
True North would begin by opening a COVID catch-up therapeutic academic support center. This would enable students that are attending brick and mortar schools, to attend True North and get in-person academic support from certified teachers. These students would also be able to attend therapy sessions with on-site therapists to attend to their mental health needs. These needs could be preexisting or brought up by COVID related anxiety.
Parents that work full time do not have the ability to be at home with their students that are forced to attend virtual school because of the COVID-19 pandemic. With infection levels rising, schools will not be operating at one hundred percent capacity any time in the near future.
True North would help the students that are left at home to figure out their virtual education by granting them the opportunity to work one-on-one with a Pennsylvania Certified Teacher(s). Our teachers would help to support the everyday learning, teach mini-lessons, and help the student with their COVID catch-up support. Students in grades 4 – 12 are welcome to apply.
These students would also have the option to attend one-on-one therapy and group therapy sessions to address their social, academic, and individual needs and concerns. These students would be able to meet with on-site licensed therapists trained in various therapeutic modalities. With COVID cases on the rise and isolation rates increasing of these students, they would be able to address their pre-existing and ongoing mental health needs after receiving much needed academic support. Therapeutic areas our therapists would address are Anxiety, Depression, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Cognitive Distortions, and Unhelpful Thinking. Therapists would address these areas through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
