The M.A.

in Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT)

La Salle’s COAMFTE-accredited Marriage and Family degree trains students to evaluate and treat mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders and a wide array of relationship issues within the context of the individual and/or the family system. It prepares students for licensed employment in a variety of clinical settings including private practice. Students

may select a minor in Professional Clinical Counseling or Addictions Counseling. The M.A. in Industrial Organizational Psychology prepares students for this growing field and a bright future in the academic and business worlds. This I/O program is a collaboration between the fields of psychology and business and provides an excellent graduate option for those applying from either a psychology or business undergraduate major. Students can attend on either a full-time or a part-time basis for the Marriage and Family Therapy Program or the Professional Clinical Counseling Program. Students are able to take courses at any of La Salle’s three campuses: Main Campus in Philadelphia, PA; Bucks County Center in Newtown, PA; or at the Montgomery County Center in Plymouth Meeting, PA. Acceptance into the MFT and PCC program occurs in Fall, Spring and Summer semesters. Industrial/Organizational Psychology degree is only offered at the Main Campus. Students are able to take two or three courses a semester, and acceptance into this program is only in the Fall semester.

Annual Diversity Forum will take place TONIGHT! It will be held 5-7:30pm in Founder’s Hall. The topic of discussion is Racial Trauma.

We want to make sure everyone is aware that the Annual Diversity Forum will take place TONIGHT, Wed 11/9 5-7:30pm in Founder’s Hall. The topic of discussion is Racial Trauma. We are thrilled to have as our speaker Dr. Howard Stevenson, who is a nationally recognized clinical psychologist and researcher on negotiating racial conflicts and a leading expert on the topic of racial trauma. Dr. Stevenson is the Executive Director of Racial Empowerment Collaborative at the University of Pennsylvania, designed to promote racial literacy in education, health, and community institutions. There will be a student poster session 5-6pm with a light dinner and then the speaker 6ish-7:30pm.
