The spring semester has come to a close, and as we look back on the past few months, we are filled with immense pride for the work that emerged from our elective courses.

The dedication, creativity, and vision our students brought to their practice this semester has been nothing short of inspiring and it deserves to be recognized.

The work featured here comes from these elective courses: Digital Tools, Special Topics: AI Tools for Design and Illustration, and Illustration 2. Each piece is a testament to what becomes possible when artists are given the space to grow, create, and show up fully as themselves.

Branding Identity for Hospitality
Taught by Jason Kernevich

Course Overview: Our learning objectives will be to sharper design and typography skills and build conceptual and narrative themes. Our projects focus on a restaurant inspired by famous movies, a boutique hotel, and restaurant merch.

Comics: Sequential Narratives
Taught by Chris Larsen
In-Person | Fridays from 12:00-5:00 PM
Open to D&I Students

Course Overview: Students will explore the concept of graphic stylization, cartooning, visual shorthand, world building, and storytelling. Emphasis will be placed on the artist as creator. We will be doing a lot of drawing. More drawing than you have ever done in all of your life on this great green earth. If you still love to draw after this course, you know art is the future for you.
