DrexLab, presented by the College of Arts and Sciences, provides undergraduate students in CoAS and the School of Education the opportunity to participate in research and scholarship alongside a diverse group of research mentors. All majors are welcome! The program offers $1,500 in funding to selected students for three to five hours of research work per week under the direction of a research mentor.

Cursive is making a comeback. But does it deserve one?

Mary Jean Tecce DeCarlo, EdD, clinical professor in the School of Education, authored a column about the history of teaching cursive handwriting in school.

More than 25 states require students to learn to read and write in cursive.

The STAR Scholars Summer Showcase is an end-of-summer celebration of the research, scholarship, and creative work completed by students in the STAR (Students Tackling Advanced Research) Scholars program. STAR Scholars present their projects during the last week of the Summer Term each year to friends, family, and the Drexel community.

Drexel’s School of Education summer literacy camp is a 3-week literacy enhancing experience for children in grades K-3. Our camp helps to strengthen literacy skills with the support of Wilson-certified teachers and Drexel undergraduate education majors. Campers get to to do arts and crafts, meet children’s book authors, and play outside every day. Drexel’s literacy camp is a great way for students to strengthen their skills while also taking part in fun summer activities.
