Our Story

At the Religious School @ GJC, learning arises from and promotes a sense of community. Students are excited to be in an environment where they feel a sense of belonging, learn with friends and have a voice in choosing among various educational activities. Our school integrates creativity with developmentally appropriate, active-teaching methods: art, music, theatre, community service and holiday celebrations are integral parts of our curriculum.

We proudly embrace the racial, ethnic, and gender diversity of our students & their families. We welcome multiracial, interfaith, and LGBT families, and we are committed to the inclusion of students with special needs. The diversity of our families enriches our community and our children’s learning. Our religious school is geared towards students (K-10th grade) from all of GJC’s many concentric circles of community.

In the 2018-2019 school year, we are thrilled to entering the sixth year of implementing our bold new curriculum - developed through a collaborative process between our teachers, parents, and clergy.
