As singers, our voice is more than a feeling, it’s a function.
Sound begins at the larynx, where the vocal folds vibrate as breath flows through them. That vibration becomes sound, and that sound resonates in different spaces. Our chest, throat, mouth, nose, and head depending on pitch, intention, and the power we’re creating.
Breath is the fuel.
Resonance is the amplifier.
Technique is what keeps the voice healthy and free.
We don’t have to be scientists, but as singers, we do need to understand our instrument so we can use it with purpose, longevity, and confidence. 🎤✨
