pups! these guys were a christmas commission for a local momma. our neighborhood has the most active and amazing facebook mom group, and we promote our businesses and side-hustles once a month. it’s a really cool way to see the many talents in the neighborhood, and it’s so much fun to support local families. i love the promotion of “shop small” culture and feel grateful to live in a community that sees the value in creating financial growth for women.

happy 2026, everyone! i’m shocked we’re already halfway through january (a miracle, really) and it’s been an incredible year so far, which inspired me to share this huge commission from the holidays.

last summer, i started a new venture with my artist bestie - live painting weddings. i love it sooooo much. for 3-5 hours, i get to talk to and photograph strangers, then paint them as fast as i can, while singing and dancing along with the dj and observing so much love and joy for strangers. it’s the best!

this couple had us to an early fall wedding, and the groom’s mom surprised them with a watercolor of the combined families for their first married christmas. with so many faces and details, this thing took me over a week.

an old fortune cookie phrase kept resonating with me as i worked on their newly blended extended family, and it’s a sentiment i wish for all of you this year. “to love and be loved is to feel the sun from both sides.” wishing you so much sunshine in 2026. xxo, g

we’re in that strange in-between where we don’t know what day it is, and we haven’t dug out of the christmas mess in the living room for days.

i tested positive for covid on christmas morning so today is my first day out of bed since then. i’m sad about all of the little moments of amazement i missed as the wells elves experienced new things together over the past few days. but it’s also led to a bittersweet awareness of how fast the years pass.

i read something recently that said something like, “you get ten years to be your kids favorite person, and then they make new favorites.” watching the mess and the imagination and the growth, i hope we’ll get way more than ten years to be each others’ favorites.

painting pets is one of my favorite asks of all because being a cat lady - and now a dog mom - i really relate to the way you all love your furry family members. pretty yoko is a family gift for some sweet little ladies who lost her this year. i hope she brings them joy on christmas morning.

home is where the heart is, and painting yours never gets old. wrapping up my holiday projects this weekend and really enjoying the magic through my kids eyes every step of the way.

how sweet is this love story?! caroline & phil met for their first date at this (now closed) bar in media. they found easy conversation & the quick passage of time together alone at the bar. his parents also happened to pop in so all the pressure was off about a first-time meeting.

two years later, these cuties still celebrate all of the tiny moments that came together to make their first night special. here’s to infinity more! i love love!

this was so much fun! a local hostess extraordinaire invited me to letter a mirror in her dining room to welcome her guests to friendsgiving. she was so excited that services like this exist.

a few weeks ago, a local mom inquired about an artist who would paint birthday party guests as hot dogs for a first birthday themed “a we**ie bit older.” you know i love weirdness - the weirder the better! we immediately hit it off and i painted her these samples to decide on the style for the event. which one do you like best?!
